Rame Community Fund is a small registered charity serving the residents of the Rame Peninsula in Cornwall
To help residents who are suffering hardship or who are in financial difficulties
Residents of the five parishes on the Rame Peninsula:
• Pre pandemic, the Fund averaged 25 applications a year
• However, since April 2020 we have had 90 APPLICATIONS
• We spent almost £16,000 helping local residents in difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic
• ALL OUR INCOME comes from donations from the community
• PLEASE DONATE if you can – no matter how small your donation, you are helping your community
• You do not need to be on benefits to APPLY
• The fund does not discriminate
• Applications are not means-tested
• We aim to assist ANY individuals, families or groups who need some financial support to help with immediate, short term, or emergency situations, where personal finances are not enough
• WE DON’T GIVE CASH BUT… We can purchase things like clothing, furniture, household equipment, or we can pay bills or medical expenses
• We can assist people who have an opportunity to participate in vocational training leading to work opportunities
• Funds towards a personal development activity, or a business venture that would not be taken up without some financial help to get started
